The objectives of the Mass Service Project and Christmas Party at De La Salle College were to provide essential support to underprivileged students while spreading joy and togetherness during the Christmas season. By donating school supplies like stationery, bags, and books, the project aimed to empower over 300 students to continue their education with fewer financial barriers.
The event sought to create a festive and memorable experience for the children through a Christmas party filled with entertainment and carols. This initiative also aimed to strengthen fellowship among the participating Leo and Lions Clubs, demonstrating the impact of collaboration in serving the community effectively.
The "Cleanup Sri Lanka" project took place on September 28, 2024, at the Kelaniya Rajamaha Viharaya, a revered Buddhist temple located in Sri Lanka. The project was organized by Shraddha TV in collaboration with various Leo and Lions Clubs across the nation, including our own Leo Club of Biyagama North, which partnered with the Lions Club of Biyagama North for this initiative.
The project concluded with a sense of accomplishment and pride among all participants. We had not only made a visible difference in the environment but had also contributed positively to the community spirit. The "Cleanup Sri Lanka" project served as a reminder of the collective responsibility we share in caring for our surroundings and the importance of community service in promoting a cleaner, healthier environment for all.
