The objective of the Train the Train project was to enhance the skills and knowledge of the Secretary and Treasurer teams within the Leo Club of Biyagama North. The project aimed to equip these teams with practical tools and insights related to effective communication, financial management, documentation, and overall club administration. By doing so, the goal was to ensure that the teams could confidently carry out their responsibilities, contributing to the smooth operation of the club. Ultimately, the project sought to strengthen the club's internal structure and empower its leadership to better serve the community through well-organized initiatives.
The Leadup Camp, organized by the Leo Club of Biyagama North, aimed to provide around 40 young members of the Dalugama Parish with a holistic development experience over two days, from July 13th to 14th at Diyagala Boys' Town in Ragama. Through a series of interactive activities and educational sessions, the camp focused on fostering team spirit, leadership skills, and personal growth. The Leo Club members facilitated engaging challenges that required participants to work collaboratively, think creatively, and demonstrate resilience. These activities included the Question and Water Challenge, Color Band Grouping, Ball Game, Candle Game, and Puzzle Challenge. Educational sessions led by the Diocese Committee, Rev. Fr. Rumain, and Sr. Wimala further contributed to the participants' understanding of the YCS movement, personal development, and social responsibility. At the end of the camp, participants were awarded certificates to encourage and recognize their efforts and achievements. The camp concluded with a feedback session that allowed for reflection and insights for future improvement and with a certificate distribution. Overall, the Leadup Camp successfully empowered young individuals to become more confident, responsible, and spiritually grounded leaders within their communities.
